European Commissioner for Internal Markets Charlie McCreevy has said he will push ahead with plans to prosecute member states who discriminate against competition from gambling firms in other states.
Speaking yesterday in Brussels to news agency Bloomberg, he said, “If member states wish to ban gambling, well, then I won’t cry at night about it. But they can’t be discriminatory against legally authorized gambling companies from other member states.”

Two conservative Republican senators have sent a letter to the chairmen of the U.S. Treasury Department of Federal Reserve System outlining concerns about the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
Senators John E. Sununu of New Hampshire and Pete Domenici of New Mexico called for the two government agencies who are responsible for enforcing the UIGEA to amend its proposed enforcement rules to clarify just what transactions banks must block.

It should be noted that this conclusion is an inference based solely on outside observation. It cannot be proven to a certainty. DoingPoker’s management claims that the players are human testers.
